WE DID IT!!!!

The 1st National Scientific Conference "MoleCon" and "Chemikalia" is behind us!

June 6, 2025 will remain in our hearts and memories for a long time. What a day it was, what emotions! We did it!

The emotions that accompany me while writing this article are enormous - I will try to keep it short, but I promise nothing!

Let's start with the Conference: We opened "MoleCon" together with Mateusz - president of SKNCh and Filip - chairman of RSW. The amazing opening lecture entitled "Zirconium or zirconia" was given by none other than the dean, prof. dr hab. inż. Wojciech Simka. Right after it, there was a short break, and then the session of oral presentations by doctoral students began, moderated by eng. Hubert Knap and MSc eng. Aleksander Olesiński. What a dose of knowledge and heated discussions it was! After the oral presentations, it was time for a poster session, full of excellent and inspiring talks. The high level of the conference is evidenced by the fact that the committee debated the winners for a very long time. While waiting for the results, we listened to an extraordinary lecture by Prof. Wojciech Szczepankiewicz, who tried to answer the question "Chemistry - what does it mean?" - those who haven't heard it should sincerely regret it!

As many as 8 awards were given during the conference!

  • Best oral presentation among PhD students - MSc. Eng. Kornelia Kubiesa
  • Best poster in the analytical and medical chemistry category – Julia Kuliś
  • Best poster in the inorganic and electrochemistry category – Aleksandra Tober
  • Best poster in the polymer and nanomaterial chemistry category – Alicja Pilecka
  • Best poster in the organic and biochemistry category – Sebastian Górecki
  • Best poster in the physical and theoretical chemistry category – Zuzanna Milewczyk
  • Best poster in the chemical technology and engineering category – Julia Chmiel
  • Best poster in the popular science category – Agnieszka Kicińska

After the conference closed, it was time for the long-awaited Chemicals! There was a barbecue, cakes, a coloring book zone — with the conference mole and the wheeled Helga. Beautifully made braids and tattoos (temporary, of course!). Slime full of glitter and skill competitions with gifts. The culmination was a huge chemical show!

We are incredibly proud that we made it❤️ We hope that this is not our last conference, and certainly not the last Chemikalia.
