"Dąbrowiacy" - the history of the group
The students Folk Dance Group of Silesian University of Technology was founded in November 1973 on university students initiative.
The group took its first steps on the stage in 1974 during traditional rejoicing of university students. The group of 50 students - dancers and singers debuted.
After the first performance followed the next. During years program of the group become more attractive. The number of dances, costumes and songs increased. The students from the group ahve worked 7 years dancing and singing in the country and in the 1980 for the first time went abroad.
