On May 13, 2024, a delegation of our circle consisting of: Mateusz Pilszek, Filip Wojtas, Maciej Gdala, Dominika Stryjewska, Julia Targosz and Julia Borda was invited to conduct a demonstration and workshops for students of early childhood education at Primary School No. 19. Bolesław the Brave in Świętochłowice.
As part of the demonstrations, children could see a chemical locomotive, traffic lights, acid-base indicators and a fire in a cylinder. Besides, you could see an iodine clock or shake a methylene blue flask.
After the show, each student had the opportunity to make their own slime and learn about the work of a chemist.
Thank you very much for the invitation and the warm welcome by the students, as well as the pedagogical board. We hope that together with our activities to popularize science we have introduced young discoverers of science to the world of chemistry 🙂
