On 8 November 2023, a delegation made up of Mateusz Pilszek and Maciej Gdala visited the Salesian Group of Public Schools. Jana Bosco in Świętochłowice. What should be noted - our coordinator for the research section - Maciej Gdala is a graduate of this school.
One of the advantages of this school are alpacas, which you could close up and even stroke their soft fur. Of course we could not miss a photo session with these animals 🙂
At the beginning, students in grades 3 and 4 were presented with the offer of our Faculty and a few words about student life or studying.
The students then took part in a workshop where they performed a qualitative analysis using precipitation reactions. At the end of our visit, students usually made anti-stress slims for "mathematics tests" 🙂
"I am very happy to be able to return to the walls of the school I attended for 3 years. Certainly a big surprise for me were alpacas, which were not there when I was one of the "Salesians". During our visit, the students were very interested in the presentation and with great enthusiasm carried out the experiences that they could do themselves. We will definitely come back here and I hope that we will meet at the Silesian University of Technology within the framework of the workshops that we organize just for such young people." - comments Maciej Gdala, a graduate of the school and our Coordinator.
