On 22 May a delegation of ChSRS, consisting of Agnieszka Kicińska and Agata Kołkowska, together with MSc Eng. Blazej Podleśny visited the III LO im. General Władysław Anders in Dąbrowa Górnicza. It was a very special visit because the classes they visited were uniformed classes: fire class and medical rescue class. In addition
Agata and Błażej are both graduates of the school.
The trip was another part of workshops for young people from secondary schools, during which students had the opportunity to listen to a lecture about what Silesian University of Technology offers and what is happening at our Faculty.
During the workshop, students could independently perform simple chemical experiments or recall the degree of manganese oxidation.
“It was very nice to come back to its old walls. It is an interesting experience to stand on the opposite side of the one where you were several years ago. It's a really cool experience to watch students listen with interest about what I'm doing right now, ask questions. It is great to see how with a smile on their face they perform experiments themselves and with every precipitated sediment they turned to me and praised what color they now came out”- says Agata
Visits to secondary schools and conversations with young people are a great motivation for further action. We are very pleased that we could visit another facility and we are looking forward to the next!
