Shows, workshops, lectures and open laboratories – Silesian University of Technology, including the Faculty of Chemistry hosted high school students and interested persons who could see up close what the work of scientists looks like. There was an opportunity to talk with lecturers and students, visit the workshops, see what it is used for and how modern laboratory equipment works.
As part of LabOpenDays 2024, all interested parties could participate in an interesting lecture delivered by PhD Eng. Katarzyna Krukiewicz, prof. PŚ. "The art of connecting neurons or how to fix the brain?" After the lecture it was possible to participate in demonstrations within the framework of our Circle, where it was possible to sign up for the following workshops:
- Feel the chemistry on your own skin – workshops creating natural cosmetics!
- Learn how to turn a lemon into a plastic bottle!
- How Chemistry Builds the World - Building Materials Chemistry Workshop!
- Aluminum - you can't paint that? That's right, yes! - electroplating workshop!
In addition, there was an opportunity to visit the laboratories, including those located in the Center for New Technologies.
