A A+ A++

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that aims to expand cooperation in the fields of education, training and sport. Thanks to it, students can take part in international projects that raise their competence and broaden their horizons.

As part of this project, two of our students are doing a two-month internship in Belgium. Mateusz Zygadło and Paweł Grzybek are at the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium during the period of July and August. In the team, Prof. Brat van der Bruggen and his PhD student Junwei Li are studying polyether sulfone membranes for the separation of Li+ and Mg2+ ions by nanofiltration.

Julia Borda, Julia Targosz and Ryszard Siedlecki are doing an internship in Brno, Czech Republic. At the CEITEC research institute cooperating with VUT (Brno University of Technology), the team consists of dr hab. Peter Neugebauer. Together with Dr. Pawel Jewula, they are involved in the synthesis of a naphthalene derivative, from which complex compounds based on Ni2+ and Fe3+ are produced. Thanks to them, compounds exhibit magnetic properties, thanks to which they can be used in electronic devices.

Congratulations on your internships and wish you more such fruitful collaborations!
