On 22-28 April 2023 Dorota Mańka (1st semester of 2nd degree of Chemical Technology), Łukasz Wujcicki and Tomasz Mańdok (1st semester of 2nd degree of Chemistry) participated in workshops in Belgium in connection with the realization of the "Summer School" within the consortium EURECA-PRO at the University of Hasselt.

They met many engineering students from Environmental Engineering, Chemical Technology to Automation and Robotics. The students were from such countries as: Germany, Turkey, Spain, Romania, France, Austria, Belgium and even Iran and Malaysia.

They took part in classes organised by the University of Hasselt and the Catholic University of Louvain. Lectures focused on the circular economy, including lithium-ion batteries, plastic waste sorting, green processes in chemical technology and reuse of materials in construction.

“Participation in the workshops allowed us to increase our own scientific and research competences on the subject of recycling and environmental protection, as well as to get to know the technology and modernity of the western country which is Belgium” - Łukasz Wujcicki.

Congratulations to our students and wish you further fruitful trips!

The trip was financed by EURECA-PRO and Erasmus
