On 20 April 2024, our delegation consisting of: Agnieszka Kicińska, Juli Targosz, Hubert Knap, Filip Wojtas, Mateusz Pilszek, Igor Biały, Anna Wojciech and Magdalena Pilipczuk had the opportunity to help this year’s high school graduates in the framework of the workshop entitled “Saturday and Day of the Year”. "Chemistry is not just theory - it's a rehearsal for high school graduates." And it all took place at Kato Science Corner.
As part of the workshops, future students could consolidate their knowledge of physical, organic and inorganic chemistry while performing experiments and reactions that often occur on the matriculation exam. In addition, the youth could take part in demonstrations, during which they showed, among others, the flame test, the exothermic reaction with perchydrol and potassium (VI) permanganate and many others. There were also talks about studying at our Faculty and about the didactic offer offered by Silesian University of Technology.
