What is it like to get a Rector's grant? Is it good or not good?
This is the question we asked our colleague Agata, who is thriving in the Electrochemistry Group!
As the small group of students at the Silesian University of Technology, Agata won a Level II grant to further develop her research. The number of her publications, conferences and commitment to science were recognised by the committee on a par with the applications of others with higher degrees.
‘I am very pleased! I didn't expect this to be possible at all. It is an appreciation of my hard work,’ - comments Agata
We were also given the exclusive, behind-the-scenes information that another of our colleague's publications has been accepted and another is in the pipeline.
The article ‘Five-Year Comparative Study of Zygomatic and Subperiosteal Implants: Clinical Outcomes, Complications, and Treatment Strategies for Severe Maxillary Atrophy’ presents a five-year comparative study of zygomatic and subperiosteal implants in patients with severe maxillary atrophy. It focuses on clinical outcomes, such as implant longevity and improved function, as well as on complications that occur (e.g. infections, implant stability). It also analyses treatment strategies, considering different surgical approaches and their effectiveness. The study provides data to help select the optimal method for patients with this complex condition.
A grant like this is the perfect motivation and we guarantee that Agata certainly has no plans to stop writing, working, exploring and publishing. We will write about her more than once!
And one big thing from us - CONGRATULATIONS! And we keep our fingers crossed for further work!
