What is affiliation?
Affiliation is the designation of a scientific unit as the place where scientific research is conducted, the RESULTS of which FORM the basis of a publication/poster or presentation. The author of the publication/poster/presentation makes the affiliation by placing the name of the scientific unit next to their name in the publication. The key issue is the correct determination of affiliation in the article/on the poster or in the presentation - it determines whether the scientist's achievements will be correctly attributed to the university and whether they will be evaluated.
How do I correctly specify my affiliation if I am a member of the Society?
Our affiliation in English is as follows:
Chemistry Students Research Society, Faculty of Chemistry, Silesian University of Technology, M. Strzody Str 9, 44-100 Gliwice, Poland
in polish:
Studenckie Koło Naukowe Chemików, Wydział Chemiczny, Politechnika Śląska, ul. M.Strzody 9, 44-100 Gliwice, Polska
If you are planning to publish a scientific publication, remember to inform your research supervisor to include the affiliation of the Circle under your name! Remember also to include the affiliation and logo of the Society on your poster and presentation if you are going to a scientific conference!
If you have any questions about membership, you may contact the Research Section Coordinator or any of the Society’s Supervisors.
