On 6 September, Agnieszka Kicińska, Mateusz Pilszek and our tutor, Dr Anna Byczek-Wyrostek, had the opportunity to participate in the 1st All-Poland Scientific Conference Kosmotrend. It is worth noting that this was the first conference of its kind organised by the Faculty of Chemistry of the Silesian University of Technology. At the Circle's stand, visitors could treat themselves to two types of soap and bath balls of their own production. In addition, participants were able to listen to lectures from people who work in the cosmetics industry and see a poster session, where students and doctoral students presented the results of their research. The conference was prepared to a high standard. Congratulations to the organisers and thank you for the invitation 🙂 .

Meanwhile, on 7 September 2024, Miłosz Kucharski, Mateusz Pilszek, Filip Wojtas and our supervisor, Dr Anna Byczek-Wyrostek, participated in the 11th Senior Family Picnic. Members of the Circle had the opportunity to present several experiments, such as caramel, Pharaoh snakes and many others, before moving on to the workshop part, where each participant of the event could make their own slime 😊. Despite the high temperatures, the atmosphere at the picnic was pleasant and the shows with their dynamism and colours delighted everyone.
