Norway Grants

Norway Grants are non-returnable aid granted by Norway to countries that joined the European Union. This also applies to Poland, which became a member of the EU in 2004 and a member of the European Economic Area (EEA) in 2005. For the period 2014-2021, 15 EU Member States received EUR 2.8 billion. At the same time, it should be noted that Poland had the largest share in these funds (EUR 809.3 million). These funds are designed to eliminate economic and social differences in the new EU member states. An important aspect is also building relationships and cooperation between beneficiaries and donors. Norwegian Funds support innovative research and education. Particular emphasis was placed on issues such as Poland's cooperation with the donor countries, energy security and climate change.

Commercial, non-commercial, public and private entities as well as non-governmental and international organizations operating in Poland can apply for funds.

The MOHMARER project was funded under the Small Grant Scheme (2020) competition. The main goal of the competition was to support female scientists from Poland, primarily those whose research is part of the field of technical sciences.
