MOHMARER project - security, ecology, our future

The demand for rare earth elements (REEs) has grown rapidly in recent years due to their unique properties and many strategic industrial applications. The MOHMARER project concerns the development of new selective, hybrid magnetic membranes and REE sorbents for the separation of REE from fly ash generated as waste during the coal combustion process. The main goal of the MOHMARER project is to design and synthesize modern selective hybrid magnetic membranes and highly stable sorbents.

The project will be implemented at the Silesian University of Technology for 24 months in the years 2022-2024. Funds for its implementation were obtained from Norway Grants.
