Robot Week
The forty fifth of all 50 Weeks in the City of Science is the Robot Week. The event takes place at the Silesian University of Technology from 11 to 17 November, as part of the celebrations of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
New technologies, miniaturization, increasing computing power and advanced information systems make robots an integral part of technological progress.
The aim of Robot Week is to show their applications in various industrial sectors as well as in the service of human beings. During this week, participants will have the opportunity to listen to interesting lectures, see industrial robots, robots for fire brigades, drones, and rovers. Medical and underwater robots will also be presented. There will also be an opportunity to take part in practical workshops during which the construction of robots, their mechanics and methods of communication will be presented. For primary and secondary schools there will be a panel on educational projects related to robotics and the Robotics Tournament. There will also be an opportunity to visit the laboratories during the OpenLab activity.
The Robot Week will run from November 11 to 17, 2024.
