Climate Week
From 18th November, the European City of Science Katowice 2024 will host Climate Week. If you want to expand your knowledge of climate protection and sustainable development, the next few days will be a great opportunity to do so.
In recent years, the topic of climate change has been a staple of scientific journal headlines, websites and television programs. Often, however, the narrative that reaches us is filled with a sense of resignation, which discourages many from taking any action.
- As part of Climate Week, we will take up the challenge of talking about the climate, the causes of its changes and presenting proposals for a strategic approach to the changes taking place, and we will implement practical actions to adapt to surprising phenomena in the European City of Science 2024 - announce the organizers of Climate Week.
The week will begin with a solid dose of knowledge in the form of meetings and lectures, including in schools. Then you will be able to learn how institutions and companies in our region are implementing pro-climate actions, as well as how we are adapting to climate change in the metropolis.
The aim of the event will also be to summarise the activities undertaken during all 50 Weeks in the City of Science, which focused on mitigating climate change and expanding knowledge in this area.
We have a chance to create a better future if we join forces and rely on scientific knowledge.
