Events

An exhibition of airplanes, glider and drone flight simulators, modelling workshops and games and sports competitions - these are the attractions of the Aviation Picnic for children of employees of the Silesian University of Technology. The event will take place on November 16 at the Academic Aviation Training Centre of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice.

The picnic will start at 10.00 and last until 16.00. The organizers have prepared a number of attractions:

- VR simulators including: Aviation, Icaros, Cloud, Fear Board,
- drone flight simulators,
- possibility of taking photos inside the Piper PA-34 Seneca aircraft,
 - exhibition of aircraft of the Academic Aviation Training Centre,
 - glider flight simulator, - model booth including: Model construction, RC model flight simulators, consultations with instructors of aviation and space modelling sport,
- large format games including: Giga Twister, Jenga XXL, Building Blocks BAMP, Giga Circle and Crossword,
- classic animations including: Headscarf, dances, sports competitions,
 - live mascot Stitch.

The picnic will take place on 16 November 2024, from 10.00 to 16.00, at the airport in Gliwice, at the premises of the Academic Aviation Training Centre of the Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, ul Akrobatów Lotniczych 32).

There will be a Food Truck and a post with cotton candy. The whole event is free, and tickets can be downloaded in the Social Affairs Office in room 420.
