A second popular science conference “Radioactivity”
We invite you to participate in the second edition of the popular science conference "Radioactivity „in tribute to Maria Skłodowska-Curie, which will take place on October 28, 2024, from 15:00–18:00 at the Amok studio cinema in Gliwice.
The conference will be held under the honorary patronage of the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology - Prof. Dr Hab. Eng. Marek Pawełczyk.
The conference, which aims to pay tribute to an outstanding scientist - patron of the National Institute of Oncology in Gliwice, invites to the world of science, passing knowledge on the phenomenon of radioactivity in a fascinating, yet easy and understandable way.
The program includes lectures, experiments, an author’s meeting and a documentary film from the collections of WFO - directed by Stanisław Grabowski, with music by Wojciech Kilar, made in 1967 on the occasion of the Nobel Prize winner’s 100th birthday.
For all interested admission is free, the number of places is limited.
