Tourism Week
On September 23rd, another Science Week begins, which will be devoted to tourism. Silesia has many regions where you can relax and do tourism, as you will see in the coming days.
Nowadays, tourism is an extremely important phenomenon of an economic, social, or spatial nature. The changes taking place in the world, which it often contributes to, cause it to face many challenges. These include challenges related to climate change, gentrification of cities, overtourism phenomenon, instagramization of culture or the development of new, often controversial forms of culture, such as dark tourism.
During the Tourism Week, participants will reflect on the possibilities of making tourism more resistant to changes taking place in the environment, learn how tourism changes and affects our socio-economic life, learn about its new forms, by participating in walks, workshops, discussion panels. All this in order to become a more conscious tourist, traveling not always far from your own home - the organizers announce.
