An open lecture delivered by Paweł Dłotko PhD, DSc from the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences
We cordially invited to the first of the series of open lectures entitled "Science for a better future". The title of the open lecture is "Mathematics 5.0 - the fuel of the future". It will be delivered by Paweł Dłotko* PhD, DSc from the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
In the era of the data revolution, exact mathematical methods are becoming a leading part of the modern economy. In his lecture, Paweł Dłotko PhD, Dsc will also present the idea of the Centre for Mathematics Applications - a modern scientific and research institution operating on the verge between science and industry, a proposal for its structure and mathematical issues, setting exemplary directions for its development. The potential role of such a Centre in supporting and shaping the digital transformation of the Silesian Metropolis GZM will also be discussed during the meeting.
The meeting will be held on 16 May 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in Hall A of the Education and Congress Centre at the Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, ul. Konarskiego 18B).
