Events

The most important business event in Central Europe is ahead of us - the 15^th  European Economic Congress (EEC). The event will take place on April 24^th -26^th 2023, at the International Congress Centre in Katowice. The Silesian University of Technology is the institutional partner of the event.

The program of the 15^th  European Economic Congress will include key topics, trends and tendencies that change the economy, shaping its prospects in a changing geopolitical and macroeconomic environment that is difficult for business.

Sessions with the participation of scientists from the Silesian University of Technology:

April 24, 2023, 16.30-18.00 ● Decarbonisation of transport. The session will be attended by dr Eng. Krzysztof Krawiec from the Faculty of Transport and Aviation Engineering, manager of the Think Tank WiseEuropa Sustainable Transport Program

April 25, 2023, 11.30-13.00 ● Polish hydrogen: strategy and practice. The session will be attended by prof. Janusz Kotowicz, Vice-Rector for Cooperation with Civic and Economic Environment

April 25, 2023, 11.30-13.00 ● Education for the economy. The session will be attended by dr hab. Eng. Tomasz Trawinski, prof. SUT, Vice- Rector for Infrastructure and Promotion

April 25, 2023, 13.30-14.30 ● Universities in the network of international cooperation, the session will be attended by prof. Marek Pawełczyk Vice-Rector for Science and Development

April 25, 2023, 13.30-14.30 ● Katowice - European City of Sciences The session will be attended by prof. Janusz Kotowicz, Vice-Rector for Cooperation with Civic and Economic Environment

April 26, 2023, 11.30-13.00 ● Investments in research and development in medicine The session will be attended by prof. Marek Gzik, director of the European HealthTech Innovation Centre

The European Forum of Young Leaders will take place during the European Economic Congress from 24^th  to 26^th  April.  It is a three-day series of debates for people up to 30 years of age, for whom discussions related to the professions of the future, social commitment, technologies and education for the future have been prepared. The Silesian University of Technology became one of the institutional partners of this event.
