March activities at the University of Technology for Juniors and Seniors
Architecture, civil engineering or maybe physics? We are glad to invite you to classes organised within the University of Technology for Juniors and Seniors which will be held on 19 March. Registration for workshops and lectures starts on 14 March at 12:00.
March classes of the University of Technology for Juniors and Seniors will start at 9:00 am with workshops for children aged 10-12 years. We will concentrate on issues related to physics. They are optical phenomena and methods of observation using various optical instruments, such as for instance, lenses and prisms. Juniors will learn how such instruments are used in everyday life.
The young and the elderly science enthusiasts will also be able to participate in an interactive lecture to find out what a spine, a bridge and a space rover travelling on other planets have in common. Scientists will discuss the concept of tensegrity, which is a structure made up of rigid and bendable elements. The participants will be able to try their hand at creating it.
For the youngest, i.e. children aged 6-9, the Faculty of Architecture has prepared art and modelling classes. Workshop participants will learn about the various aspects of the city’s structure.
