Children's workshop - 50 years of the Apollo 17 mission
Stowarzyszenie Działań Lokalnych Spichlerz, Ośrodek Kultury "Zameczek" and Astrohunters.pl invite everyone to take an unusual sentimental journey in the footsteps of three daredevils who, risking everything, went on the greatest adventure of their lives.
Using a huge telescope we will look at the Taurus-Littrow Valley, exactly where the wreck of the Apollo 17 lander still stands today.
Connecting remotely to NASA's specialist lunar probe LRO, we will search for signs of astronaut activity on the surface of the Silver Globe.
During the event, in the form of a multimedia projection, we will follow in a clear and spectacular way the incredible story of the landing of a man on the Moon, which is an inspiration for many as an example of overcoming difficulties, achieving unearthly goals and fulfilling one's wildest dreams.
Workshops and animations for children will take place in connection with the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 17 mission. Admission is free of charge.
Agenda of the event:
- 18.00 - Space animations for children
19.00 - Lecture about the Moon
20.00 - Moon observations through the telescope.
